FAQ’s
Will my child always have the same instructor each lesson?
While we will always try our best to accommodate requests for a particular instructor, we cannot guarantee them as the majority of our instructors have schedules that change every week. But not to worry! All of our instructors teach the same skills, just with their own personal flair! In fact, we recommend the exposure to different instructors as we have found it helps to succeed at a faster rate.
Do we still swim rain or shine?
Yes! We swim rain or shine and only cancel lessons if there’s thunder or lightning observed on site. If we need to cancel lessons, a member of our staff will reach out to you. If you don’t hear from anyone, please assume we are swimming!
How do I request a date change?
We know that families have a lot of schedules to juggle. If you need to change your lesson time, please provide at least 48 hours notice and we would be happy to help you find another time that fits your schedule. Please allow the team two business days to get back to you, and please note our lesson schedules are quite full through the summer, so we cannot always guarantee a date change.
What if my child cries?
Not to worry! Crying children are a completely normal part of swimming lessons. We see it all the time, so don’t feel like your child is the only one. If a child is crying we will make sure they get the comfort they need with a big smile! In some situations where your child is crying or trying to get your attention, we will let you know that it might be time to move to a spot where you can’t be seen.
Can I take pictures of my child during swimming lessons?
Absolutely, we love pictures! If you get a great video or picture of your little fish don’t hesitate to share it and remember to tag us on Facebook or Instagram! If you prefer to not have your child photographed, please let an instructor or supervisor know.
What do I need to bring to swimming lessons?
You should bring a bathing suit and towel. Goggles without a nose piece are permitted and a hair tie for long hair is always needed! A swim diaper is also required for all swimmers who are not potty trained.
Do you have washrooms and change rooms on site?
Yes! We have multiple change rooms and a portable washroom outside as well.
How/When do I register for lessons?
Registration for the summer opens online in March! Please follow us on social media for the exact date. Please note, we do fill fast so save your spot early!
What happens if we miss a class?
48 hours notice is required to reschedule a missed class. However, please send us an email and we will do our best to accommodate.
Does my child need a swim diaper?
Yes. For all swimmers who are not potty trained we require a swim diaper to be worn. Please note we do not provide diapers on site, so please bring your own.
Can I sit and watch lessons?
Of course! We have outdoor seating both in the sun and shade for our families to watch lessons!
Where can I park?
We have a driveway on site with lots of room for parking, and we permit parking along the court. Please be respectful of neighbours and do not block any driveways or park on Pickerel Point Road.
